DAY 1

Home – Mexico City

Upon arrival to Mexico City International Airport, you will be met by a Soliman Travel representative. Private transfer to your hotel for a 3 night stay.

DAY 2

Tour Mexico City 

At 2,250m above sea level, this vast, chaotic and vibrant megalopolis of more than 20 million people has a multitude of attractions. Spend the day exploring the main cultural and historic sites of Mexico City, including the Palace of Fine Arts, the Zocalo (main square) with a quick stop at the House of Tiles, the National Palace (to awe at the impressive murals by Diego Rivera) and the Metropolitan Cathedral. In the afternoon, visit one of Mexico's most important museums, the Museum of Anthropology and discover its incredible collection of pre-Hispanic, Aztec and colonial art.

DAY 3

Mexico City – Teotihuacán – Coyoacan – Mexico City

Visit the archaeological site of Teotihuacán 

Drive through the capital's northern suburbs into the countryside towards what was once one of the largest cities in the world, the megalithic archaeological site of Teotihuacán. Its name means "the place where Gods are born". Soak up the history as you wander the Avenue of the Dead to Temple of Quetzalcoatl and climb the ancient steps of the Pyramid of the Sun for an awe-inspiring panoramic view of the ruins and surrounding countryside. 

Explore Frida Kahlo's neighbourhood of Coayacan

Visit the colourful and wonderful Museum and explore the vibrant area.

DAY 4

Mexico City – Cholula – Puebla

Discover the magical towns of Cholula and Puebla

On the way to Puebla, visit Cholula, considered the oldest city in America. This city prides itself in having one of the greatest number of churches in the world and is overlooked by the impressive snow-capped Popocatepetl Volcano. Continue to the colonial capital, Puebla, recognised for its traditions and delicious gastronomy.

Puebla – Oaxaca

Inmerse yourself in the culture and gastronomy of Oaxaca

Rich in history and culture, Oaxaca is a fascinating destination where ancient civilisations, colonial architecture, traditions and gastronomy come together. Discover its main sites and find out the reason why this city is considered one of the most beautiful in Mexico.

DAY 6

City Tour and visit to Monte Alban

Explore the historic city centre, including a visit to the famous market. After lunch, drive to the archaeological site of Monte Alban, the former ceremonial and military capital of the Zapotecs who settled in the Central Valleys of Oaxaca.

Oaxaca – Tehuantepec

Recharge in the waterfalls of Hierve el Agua

En route to Tehuantepec, stop for a swim in wonderful fossilised waterfalls at Hierve el Agua.

DAY 8

Tehuantepec - Sumidero Canyon - San Cristobal de las Casas

In the morning, overland transfer to the State of Chiapas. In the afternoon, visit the impressive Sumidero Canyon, where you will be able to admire the impressive biodiversity from a boat.

DAY 9

San Cristobal de las Casas – San Juan Chamula – Zinacantan – San Cristobal de las Casas

Drive to Zinacantan, a Tzotzil village famous for its traditional colourful embroidery, gastronomy and craftwork. After lunch, visit San Juan Chamula. a town famous for the mix of catholic mysticism and indigenous traditions.

DAY 10

San Cristobal de las Casas – Villahermosa             

Visit the state of Tabasco and learn about the Olmec Culture

Early morning drive to Villahermosa, the state's capital, which is an ideal place to connect with nature due to its exuberant natural beauty. The city tour includes a visit to La Venta archaeological park-museum, which houses the great sculptures of the Olmec culture.

Villahermosa - Palenque                                       

Discover the Mayan ruins at Palenque

In the morning, transfer overland to Palenque, the ancient Mayan city in the north of Chiapas. Visit the archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

DAY 12

Palenque – Campeche                                             

Visit colonial Campeche

In the morning, visit the Agua Azul waterfalls, a protected fauna and flora area famous for the beautiful colour of its waters. Continue on to Misol-Ha, a tropical forest waterfall. Finish the day with a city tour of beautiful Campeche. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has charming corners that you'll love including the beautiful colonial port, various Mayan ceremonial centres and majestic nature reserves.

DAY 13

Campeche – Uxmal – Kabah – Merida                 

Live the historic magic of the Puuc Route & Merida City Tour

On the way to Merida, visit Uxmal and Kabah, part of the Puuc Route of archaeological sites that have an architectural style typical of the late Classic period.

Continue to Merida, the capital of the Yucatan State which has a unique personality palpable in its architecture, cuisine and people, the result of a mix of three major cultures: Mayan, Spanish and Lebanese. Discover its main attractions, such as the Paseo Montejo and the Sotuta de Peon Hacienda.

Merida – Chichen Itza – Cancun     

Visit the famed archaeological site of Chichen Itza 

Depart overland to the most famous of Mayan ceremonial centres, Chichen Itza. The Kukulkan Pyramid is considered one of the World’s New Seven Wonders. After, visit the sinkhole of Ik kil, surrounded by tropical plants and trees: the perfect habitat for exotic birds. Swimming in its refreshing waters is an experience not to be missed.
